This was fun! going live from the banks of the river Wye exploring the state of Britains rivers! It was all shot with iPhones and streamed live to the Control Centre in Haye on Wye. There all the live streams were mixed using VMix Call and transmitted live via the Rivercide website.

What could possibly go wrong you might ask? Well the rehearsal for the one hour show overran by one hour the day before! The good news was everything work and the crew were brilliant! The problem was too much content and the journeys took to long. Both of which were sorted overnight and we went live as promised.

Watch it and decide for yourself but I thought it was a powerful documentary and the sense of being there live added something to it. What was it like to work on it and where was I? I was following George and desperately trying to stay out of shot but failed miserably and you can see me all over the place. It was nerve wracking and exhilarating at the same most people had an adrenaline which lasted for ages.

The other important thing it proved is the equipment that is now available is capable of producing excellent results! Live if necessary and moves the means of production into the hands of a wider range of people. You don't have to be a media tycoon to fund this kind of production and who knows you might be able to produce something that may help to save the planet!
